Our mission at the US Bocce Federation is to promote all forms of bocce throughout the United States. We have an emphasis on introducing the sport to our nation’s youth and young adults, perpetuating the sport in all age groups and providing clinics and other teaching methods to those who wish to improve their game.

We also prepare our elite players for National and International competitions. The 2 advanced and recognized modalities of international bocce are 1) Punto Raffa Volo (PRV) and 2) Volo. They are played in over 70 countries on the continents of North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania. The US Bocce Federation formed over 40 years ago is a founding member of both international organizations.

“Open Bocce” is a modified version of the 2 international bocce sports and is played in the USA and Canada. The official Open Bocce rules were devolped over 3 decades ago by the US Bocce Federation. Since there is less precision required, no official court requirements and a few less rules than PRV and Volo, Open Bocce is popular with most people in Bocce Clubs, backyards and on the beaches across the USA. Casual players of all ages enjoy playing it, however, Open Bocce also played among numerous competive players in leagues and tournaments.
